MADURAI: Two gaurs have been rescued from a effectively in a village in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday evening. A feminine gaur that fell into the effectively died.
The gaurs fell into the 60-foot-deep effectively on the farmland of Vellaiyan of Ayanampatti within the early hours of Saturday.
On being alerted, forest division officers from Ayyalur reached the spot. The effectively had 30 toes water, which was pumped out.
Hearth and rescue providers personnel additionally reached the spot. However their efforts to rescue the gaurs have been futile because the animals have been aggressive. “We determined to get the assistance of forest division veterinarians from Coimbatore,” ranger Kumaresan advised TOI.
A group led by Dr Sugumar tranquilised the animals. The animals have been then lifted out of the effectively utilizing a crane.
Two gaurs – a bull and a calf — have been alive whereas the feminine gaur succumbed to the accidents and it had sustained.
The rescued animals have been launched into forest. The carcass of the lifeless gaur was buried after postmortem.
